Research

Study of Cambrian and Ordovician of the Barrandian area (Czech Republic) with occasional excursions to younger Palaeozoic levels or to other areas. Earlier phase of my research has been focussed on primary producers of organic matter (e.g. Acritarchs), stratigraphy and palaeogeography.

Recently my interest involves also taxonomy of diverse invertebrates (e.g. hyoliths, trilobites, echinoderms,), including exceptionally preserved specimens with soft parts as well as examples of in situ preserved interacting specimens.
